i am waiting
maybe that’s the problem.
achete les lunettes.
i knew you once
but not for long
inspired you to write a song
but while you played
the past grew strong
before i knew it

it’s probably not something to be proud of, but this diagram, courtesy of big-exit.blogspot, puts it so clearly:
actually I think my little sister is an exception, unless she’s a closet psycho.
BUT normally, this works. try it and see for yourself.
it’s hard to believe that for someone who used to design webpages, i’m having such a hard time getting this site to do anything i want it to. perhaps it has to do with giving up design for too long and selling out to the financial markets. shameless as it may sound to those i love dearly whose hearts would never betray vintage attire, private views, battling unemployment/underemployment/i’m still working on that script/i’m in the middle of recording a new album, the freedom to run out of the office at 6pm to get home to the guitar, the canvas, sitting in a bar, not having any money so could they put me on the guest list. you should see her last painting: she said she would make me one last year, i know she needs the money but it’s been almost finished for nearly a year.
i’ve neglected this blog, expression, design. even my camera has started collecting dust. this will soon change.
still inspired by my days of working in development, i’ve also started exploring the possibilities of bringing in into my workplace: i therefore declare april to be learn about microfinance month. please start by reading Banking for the Poor by Mohammed Yunus. This will give a nice easy introduction to the topic.
A lot has happened since then.
Check out:
Microfinance on Wikipedia: The ultimate starting part for any web 2.0 fact-finding mission…
Kiva.org: Actually started by an ex-consultant. A very cool idea. As long as the money doesn’t start becoming a little too easy, in terms of ensuring a repayment process…
CGAP: Consultative Group to Assist the Poor. Believe it’s run by the World Bank. The debate on them is an open one, comments please.
By then, you’ll know there’s lots out there.
